In a retaliatory move, India has decided to impose a mandatory 10-day home quarantine for all British nationals, irrespective of vaccination status, arriving in the country from October 4.
All British nationals reaching India will have to undergo the mandatory quarantine at home or at their destination address for 10 days after arrival, sources in India’s civil aviation ministry said today.

The incoming British nationals will also have to undertake three separate RT-PCR tests–72 hours before travel, on arrival at the airport and on the eight day of arrival, according to the sources.
India’s tit-for-tat action follows Britain’s similar measures taken recently for residents of India and several other countries.
New Delhi termed as “discriminatory” Britain’s move to impose 10-day quarantine for residents of a number of countries, including India, irrespective of their vaccination status.
