At least 10 people have been killed in a road accident in the south-central US state of Texas. Besides, at least 20 others were injured.
The accident took place a few kilometers from the US border with neighboring Mexico on Wednesday, the AFP reported.
Texas Public Safety Officer Nathan Brandley said the car fell off the road while turning. 10 people were killed and 20 injured. The condition of some of the injured is critical.
US media reported Wednesday that authorities believe about “30 illegal immigrants” were being transported in a white car.
Human traffickers usually take illegal immigrants from one area to another in this way, AFP reported. Earlier in March, 13 people were killed in another road accident in southern California.
