The corona virus pandemic is ravaging parts of the country and affecting numerous aspects of American life.
It has overwhelmed hospitals within a few days, forced people to re-imagine their holiday celebrations and fueled a debate over school reopening. Now, the number of confirmed corona virus cases is nearing 3 million.
There were 3,097,084 confirmed cases of COVID -19 as of NY time 2 am on Tuesday and around 10 percent of those were reported since July 1, figures compiled by NBC News.
Meanwhile, the death toll was 133,972 and rising as the pandemic maintained a tragic trajectory.
While the future of the pandemic in the US is still unclear, here’s what has happened in the last few days.
President Donald Trump, who just a week ago was saying the corona virus would ‘just disappear,’ insisted in a tweet that COVID-19 deaths rates were down 39 percent and that the U.S. had the lowest death rate ‘in the world.’
Also, Americans account for more than one out five of the more than 546,765 corona virus deaths reported around the world.
Why does the Lamestream Fake News Media REFUSE to say that China Virus deaths are down 39%, and that we now have the lowest Fatality (Mortality) Rate in the World. They just can’t stand that we are doing so well for our Country!
