Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan asked the country’s High Commissioner in Dhaka to continue efforts to strengthen bilateral ties with Bangladesh.
Imran Khan gave the instructions as Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Ahmed Siddiqui called on him in Islamabad on Monday, according to a tweet of the Pakistan prime minister’s office Monday evening.
The Pakistan government called the high commissioner to Islamabad for consultations, said diplomatic sources.
The High Commissioner briefed Imran Khan on the relations between the two countries.
Imran Khan conveyed good wishes for the people of Bangladesh.
Pakistan President Arif Alvi also gave similar instructions to the High Commissioner during his trip to Islamabad.❐
