A controversy has arisen in West Bengal due to TMC MP Shatabdi Rai. Actually TMC is running a public relations program regarding Panchayat elections in the state. In this sequence, Shatabdi Roy also reached Birbhum to participate in the program ‘Didi Ka Doot’. It is claimed that the TMC MP in Birbhum sat down to eat a worker’s meal, but got up only after taking a photo. The matter is of Friday when MP Shatabdi Roy reached her Lok Sabha constituency Birbhum.
It is being claimed that food and drink was arranged for the MP at TMC worker Sujit Sarkar’s house in Tentulia, Vishnupur, Birbhum. During this, many district level leaders of the party were present there. Along with other Trinamool leaders, MP Shatabdi Roy also sat down to eat on the ground. Many types of food were served in front of him, but Shatabdi Roy took off his glasses in front of the food and got himself photographed. As soon as the photo op was over, Shatabdi Roy got up from there without touching the food.
