Sunjwan (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Feb 10 (ANI): A terrorist was killed during the operation conducted by security forces at Jammu and Kashmir’s Sunjwan army camp on Saturday, in the aftermath of a terror attack.

One AK 47 among other weapons was also recovered from the slain terrorist.

An army jawan, however, suffered injuries in the operation.

The search and combing operation began in the area after terrorists stormed inside the army camp as well as into one of the army family quarters, in the early hours of the day.

Two security personnel- Subedar Madan Lal Choudhary, Subedar Mohd. Ashraf Mir were killed in the attack. While Subedar Mohd. Ashraf Mir was killed on the spot, the former succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Col. Rohit Solanki, 6 Mahar (Officiating CO), Havildar Abdul Hamid, Lance Naik Bahdur Singh, and Neha, daughter of Subedar Madan Lal Choudhary were injured in the attack.

Following the attack, the district administration asked the schools within 500 meters of the camp to remain shut. (ANI)
