India lose 2nd ODI against England by 86 runs

Hindustan Surkhiyan Desk:India lost second ODI against England by 86 runs at Lord’s stadium in London on Saturday.

Earlier, India outclassed England by 8 wickets in the first ODI held at Trent Bridge here.

With the win, England levelled the three-match series at 1-1 with a victory over India.

After Joe Root hit a century in the first innings, Liam Plunkett shunned with the bowl for English side while Plunket took four wickets conceding 46 runs.

Choosing to bat first, England made a speedy start with batsmen like Jason Roy (40) and Jonny Bairstow (38), sharing a busy opening stand of 69 in under 11 overs.

Chasing a stiff victory target of 323, India lost the match at 236 in 50 overs.

India’s top three batsmen, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Shikhar Dhawan failed to grab big scores to make their team win the match.
