Hindustan Surkhiyan Desk: Sajid Khan facing sexual harassment allegations by three wome(Saloni Chopra, journalist Karishma & Rachel White) has stepped away from ‘Houefull 4’ and film’s cast Riteish Deshmukh, Akshay Kumar have also spoken on this today in support of the women against him. Nana Patekar however was still the part of the film cast and it is just informed that he too has been dropped from the film. It was Nana’s decade old instance with Tanushree Dutta she spoke of at length last month that initiated the #MeToo movement in India.
Sajid Khan today took to Twitter to announce his stepping away from Housefull 4 and wrote – “In the wake of the allegations against me and the pressure being put on my family, my producer and the stars of the film Housefull 4, I must take the moral responsibility of stepping down from my directorial post, till the time I can allay the allegations and prove the truth. I request my friends in the media to kindly not pass judgment till the truth is out.”
And now a source close to the production house, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment told PTI – “Nana Patekar is dropped from the film due to allegations of sexual harassment against him. The decision was taken today”.
