Hindustan Surkhiyan Desk: In a terrible disaster, at least 50 people watching the burning of a Ravan effigy from a railway track were crushed by a speeding train in Amritsar, Punjab a couple of hours ago on Friday, triggering anger in the area and nationwide outrage. The tragic accident took place near Amritsar’s Jora Phatak on Friday, 19 October. DMU train number 74943 ran into people gathered near railway tracks watching the Dussehra celebrations around 7 pm.

The shocking and tragic event left everyone shaken and pained by the images that are coming from the accident scene. Bollywood celebs too are saddened by the tragedy and have come forward to offer their condolences to the bereaved families on Twitter.
