The Central Crime Branch (CCB) officers conducted a raid at actor Sanjjanaa Galrani’s residence in Indiranagar in connection with the Sandalwood drug racket case.
Reportedly, eight police officers including a woman inspector knocked on the doors of Sanjjanaa’s house in East Bengaluru. The CCB obtained a search warrant from the court recently.
Sanjjanaa will be brought to the Crime Branch head quarters for further questioning. The cops will decided on Sanjjanaa’s arrest during the day.
Last week, Sanjjanaa’s friend Rahul was arrested in the case. Based on the statements of Rahul, the CCB decided to conduct a search operation at Sanjjanaa Galrani’s house.
In a statement she shared last week, Sanjjanaa called Rahul her rakhi brother.
After Rahul was arrested, Sanjjanaa’s name was doing the rounds. She released a long statement reiterating that she has nothing to do with the Sandalwood drug racket case and added that she has never done drugs.
As of September 8, the CCB has arrested six people in connection with the case. Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi is one of them. Others include Ravi Shankar, an African peddler, Viren Khanna and Niyaz.❐
