Delhi knock out Mumbai from IPL play-offs

Hindustan Surkhiyan Desk:Delhi Daredevils ended Mumbai Indians chances of qualifying for the Indian Premier League (IPL) play-offs with a 11-run victory at the Ferozshah Kotla here on Sunday.

Chasing a target of 175 runs, Mumbai were all out for 163 in 19.3 overs.

Only Evin Lewis stood out in the Mumbai side with the most runs for the squad with 48 and only cutting was there to support the West Indian as he scored a quick-fire 37 from 20 balls.

Other batsmen in the pecking order fell off as the Mumbai side fell short off 11 runs. This was Mumbai 8th defeat in this campaign which somewhat sums up the side’s campaign and only the 4th time the side failed to qualify for the playoffs in the Premier League.
Sandeep Lamichhane, Harshal Patel and Amit Mishra took three wickets each for Delhi.
