Sometimes a man alone becomes an institution. We are amazed to discover that the person is completely alone. But he is in a much bigger position than any other organization. Exactly one year ago, on this day, in our beloved New York City, a man as large as an organization was killed. He was brutally killed. We woke up in shock. New York was up in arms. The world was shocked.
We read in the newspaper that Fahim Saleh’s head and various parts of his body were cut into pieces. Some of the pieces were packed in large garbage bags. There was an electric saw next to them, and until then, the wire was attached to the socket.
Yes, we are talking about Fahim Saleh. A young man of 33 years. He was one of the founders of Pathao, a popular ride sharing company in Bangladesh. He later founded a ride sharing company in Nigeria called Gokada. He studied IT at Bentley University in United States. From the beginning, he worked with digital startups.
In Bangladeshi currency, the price of the apartment where Fahim lived was around Tk 22 crore. Fahim was killed in his own apartment. Fahim Saleh grew up in New York. The New York media called him a ‘tech millionaire’.
On the website, Fahim Saleh wrote about himself, Entrepreneur, Investor, Dreamer.
A young dreamer was brutally killed. The man who killed, was not from far away. He was close to Fahim. Fahim’s personal assistant, Tyrese Devon Haspil. We learned from the newspaper that Haspil killed Fahim in a very planned and cold manner. However, the murderer, who was able to commit a brutal murder, has claimed ‘innocent’ in court.
The court will try Fahim’s murder. The court will decide whether guilty or innocent. The killer who can commit such heinous and brutal murder, is dangerous for the society. Everyone around him is terribly insecure. The removal of this killer is very urgent. Essential for social security.
Fahim’s death makes us guilty. The burden of this crime will continue to grow until Fahim’s murder is brought to justice. We want an exemplary trial of Fahim’s murder.
