The United States is going through a moment of tension over the counting of votes in the presidential election. Democrat candidate Joe Biden is on his way to a landslide victory, while President Donald Trump has accused him of vote rigging.
Protests have broken out in US cities. Two camps are protesting alternately. One of the dogs was elected mayor of the city. The BBC reports that residents of the town of Rabbit Hash in the state of Kentucky have voted to make a dog mayor.
A six-year-old French bulldog named Wilbur will be mayor of the city of Hash for the next four years, said Amy Noland, Wilbur’s spokeswoman.
A local resident suggested in the 1990s that an animal, not a human, be elected mayor to raise money for an organization that studies history in the city.
Goofy is the first dog to be elected mayor in Rabbit Hash. A total of five times since then, Sarmey’s leadership has been welcomed into the city. Amy Noland said Wilbur took her new role very seriously. But the new mayor has to caress his stomach and ears regularly.❐
