Bangladeshi actress Mahiya Mahi said that people are not getting treatment amid the COVID-19 outbreak due to the limitations of the country’s poor healthcare system. She urged all to exercise caution and follow health directives until the crisis ends.
‘People are not getting proper treatment in the time of COVID-19 outbreak as we have a poor healthcare system. I urge my fans and well-wishers to stay safe. They should try their best to follow health directives so that they do not get infected. We have to keep ourselves safe for the sake of our family members,’ said Mahi.
The actress has been staying at home since the outbreak began.
When asked about her recent and upcoming ventures, she replied, ‘I was busy shooting the film ‘Swapnabaz’ but everything has been postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak.
‘I really miss shooting floors. I miss directors saying “light, camera and action”, she added.
Mahi has been acting in videos that aim at spreading COVID-19 awareness.
‘Many cinemas have been closed due to COVID-19. We don’t know how many cinemas will reopen in the future. I think cinema owners should renovate their halls and work on improving environment at cinemas before reopening. If the environment is good, people will go to cinemas along with their family members. I heard that the government is giving loans to the cinema owners with minimum interest. They should make the most of it,’ she ended.❑
