Hindustan Surkhiyan Desk: Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) supremo and the caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday launched an attack on his Andhra Pradesh counterpart Chandrababu Naidu and alleged him of creating a rift between Telangana natives and the people from Andhra Pradesh who are settled in Telangana.
Rao was addressing media on the occasion of the release of a part of the TRS manifesto and said that the Andhra CM was an ‘udumu’ (monitor lizard),The News Minute reported. He asked the Andhra Pradesh natives to refer to themselves as Telanganites, instead.
He said that Chandrababu Naidu had nothing to do with Telangana and alleged that he came to the state only around election time.
As per local media reports, Rao lashed out at Naidu alleging that four years ago Naidu had led an evil propaganda campaign claiming that if Telangana was granted statehood, Andhras would be driven out of the region and their properties would be seized nothing changed over the years. He asserted that Andhras living in Telangana are sons of Telangana and are “respectable settlers”.
He further alleged that Naidu had spent Rs 100 crore in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections but lost badly.
