A woman who married herself said that she is considering divorce – just after spending 24 hours in her own company.
Sofi Maure, 25, announced on social media that she had “married herself” in February. She posted pictures of herself wearing a white wedding dress and a gold tiara. She also said that she baked her own wedding cake.
“Today, in the most spurious moments of my life, I bought a wedding dress and cooked a wedding cake to marry myself,” she wrote.
While some people supported Sofi for embracing self love, others said that said she was only posting about her “marriage” for “attention”.
One user said, “It could easily be me, congratulations on the beautiful marriage.” Another wrote, “It is the best marriage, believe me, with another person it would last less and it would be more conflictive. CONGRATULATIONS.”
Yet another added, “Everything for a tweet and attention.”
Well, Sofi’s idea of marrying herself didn’t seem to last for long. A day later, she posted an update on her social media.
“Update: one day I’m married to myself and I can’t take it anymore, I’m seeing how the divorce issue is just in case,” she said.
Netizens were quick to post quirky comments on the post.
One user said, “There is an express divorce in the first 3 months of marriage, so don’t worry.” Another joked, “Get a good lawyer.” A third commented, “You can’t stand yourself.”
