Hindustan Surkhiyan Desk:A tragic incident has shocked Delhi again, where 11 members of same family were found dead under mysterious circumstances in Burari area.
Ten bodies were found hanging inside a house while a 75-year-old woman’s body was found lying on the floor.

Among those found hanging, many bodies were blindfolded. As per initial reports, the dead include seven women and four men. The number of children found hanging is five.

- After inspection, police who were earlier suspecting a case of collective suicide, found that the feet of the hanging bodies were almost touching the ground leading to speculation that the bodies could have been hanged after killing the people, to give the crime an appearance of suicide. Police continues to probe the incident thoroughly before reaching a conclusion.

- As per reports, the matter came to light when a neighbour went to the shop owned by the family to get some milk early morning, but on finding the shop closed went to their house and spotted the hanging bodies and informed the police.

- “Bodies of 7 women and 4 men including three teenagers have been found. We are investigating from all possible angles, we are not ruling out anything” said Joint CP Delhi on the matter.
- Ward commissioner Rekha Sinha informed that the family belonged to a person named Lalit and those deceased include him along with his mother, sister,wife, children, brother, brother’s wife and his children.
- Prima facie police were suspecting it to be a case of collective suicide, however as per the latest update police said that the old woman was apparently strangled to death. The mystery still looms over whether the death of the eleven family members was a collective suicide or a planned murder. Police are probing the incident from all angles.
- As per the locals, the family had business of milk and furniture, while many said they owned grocery shop.
