Professor Anu Mohammad, member secretary of the National Committee for Protection of Oil, Gas, Power and Ports, and his wife Shilpi Barua have caught COVID-19.
They tested positive for the virus on Saturday afternoon and they are now undergoing treatment at city’s Mugda Hospital.
Anu Muhammad, a professor of economics at Jahangirnagar University, told our university correspondent today.
Earlier, his samples were tested at Dhaka Medical College Hospital and the result given yesterday was positive, he said.
His wife Shilpi Barua Bappy, has also tested positive for coronavirus and she has been undergoing treatment at the same hospital since July 28, he said.
She is now doing well and the issue of her recovery from the illness will be known after a certain lung test, Anu Muhammad said.❑
