Bangladesh-China relations to be further strengthened: President of Bangladesh

President Md Abdul Hamid lauded China for its continuing support for socio-economic development and facing the coronavirus pandemic.

He also hoped the relations between Bangladesh and China would be further strengthened.

A press release issued by the Foreign Affairs Ministry revealed the matter on Sunday (October 4) afternoon.

The President sent a congratulatory message to Chinese President Xi Jinping on the occasion of 45th anniversary of Bangladesh-China diplomatic relations. He extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Chinese government and people.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister A K Abdul Momen also exchanged messages of felicitation with their respective Chinese counterparts– Prime Minister Li Keqiang and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

PM appreciated the cooperation and assistance by China during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

She also hoped to explore more avenues for furthering cooperation to take Bangladesh-China strategic partnership to a higher level and also work together to address the regional and global issues for peace, security, stability and development.❐
