The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Sunday conducted a fresh drive at the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), in five days.
The drive led by ACC investigation team chief Md Abu Bakar Siddique started at 2:45pm.
ACC director (Public Relations) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the matter to risingbd. He said, ‘The ACC team actually went there to bring some documents.’
Earlier, the team conducted a drive at DGHS on July 15 to seize license of Regent Hospital, Memorandum of Undertaking (MoU) signed with Regent over coronavirus test and concerned documents.
The ACC team then talked to DGHS additional DG Professor Nasima Sultana over different data of Regent Hospital. However, the team did not find any document during the drive. But they found inconsistencies in document verification and selection primarily. Even after getting copy of the license, there was no renewal or approval of many departments related to the hospital. Besides, inconsistency was found in documents of Covid-19 related MoU.
The team includes assistant director Md Neyamul Hassan Gazi and Sheikh Md Golam Maula. ❑
