A total of 33 more people died of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, taking the number of deaths to 2,457 in the country.
Besides, a total of 3,533 more people tested positive for Covid-19 over the same period, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 1,93,590.
Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), disclosed the latest figures of deaths and infections in the daily online bulletin of DGHS on coronavirus situation in Dhaka on Wednesday (July 15).
According to DGHS, a total of 1,05,023 individuals have recovered from the disease so far since Bangladesh recorded its first Covid-19 case on March 8.
‘We’ve carried out tests on 14,002 samples collected from across the country and 3,533 more persons have been diagnosed with coronavirus infection. The total number of infections has risen to 1,93,590’ she said. ❑
