President of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) Rajbari unit Dr Md Golam Mostofa died from coronavirus infection on Saturday night. He was 89.
The renowned eye specialist breathed his last at Faridpur Medical College and Hospital around 8:00 pm while undergoing treatment.
Rajbari Civil Surgeon Nurul Islam confirmed the matter to media.
He left behind his wife, four daughters and a host of well wishers to mourn his death.
Rajbari-1 MP Kazi Keramat Ali, Civil Surgeon Nurul Islam, and various social, political and cultural personalities expressed deep shock and sorrow at the demise of the renowned doctor.❐
