In the face of controversy and criticism, Abul Kalam Azad, the Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), has finally resigned.\
He went to the secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration and submitted his resignation letter on Tuesday.
As Professor Dr Din Mohammad Nurul Haque went on retirement, Abul Kalam Azad was made the DGHS DG.
Later, he was re-appointed on a contractual basis for two years after the expiration of his term as the Director General of the DGHS. ❑
