Abul Kalam Azad, director-general of the health department, has responded to the show-case received in the Regent hospital scam. Health Services Secretary Abdul Mannan confirmed this to the media on Wednesday.
He said a decision on the reply to the letter would be taken after the review. He further said that it was asked that what the director general meant by higher authorities.
Abul Kalam Azad mentioned that the agreement was signed with Regent Hospital on the verbal instructions of the previous health secretary. He has been asked for information to prove this statement.
At the direction of the higher authorities of the Ministry of Health, an agreement was reached with Regent Hospital on the issue of Corona Dedicated. He was mourned in an office order signed by the ministry’s deputy secretary Sharmin Akhtar Jahan.
He was asked to explain what the Director-General of the Department of Health meant by ‘higher authority of the Ministry of Health.’❑
