Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih reached Dhaka on Wednesday morning to attend celebrations of Bangladesh’s golden jubilee of independence and birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
President Abdul Hamid welcomed him at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8:30am.
President Solih will pay homage to Bangabandhu by placing a wreath at his portrait on the premises of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi road number 32 at 10.25am.
He will pay a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen at 3.30pm.
Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is scheduled to attend the National Parade Ground function at Tejgaon with President Hamid at 4:30pm.
He will be in Dhaka on a three-day tour to be followed by four other heads of state and government from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and India.❐
