Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will fly to New Delhi tomorrow morning to attend the funeral of Indian President Pranab Mukherjee’s wife.
Suvra Mukherjee, who was suffering from respiratory disease, passed away at a Delhi hospital this morning at the age of 74.
PM’s sister Sheikh Rehana and Foreign Minister AH Mahmud Ali will accompany the PM during the visit, Prime Minister’s Assistant Press Secretary Noorelahi Mina told The Daily Star.
The premier will return home in the afternoon.
Suvra Mukherjee had intimate personal relation with both Hasina and Rehana, Awami League insiders told The Daily Star.
