A Dhaka court on Thursday placed Regent Group chairman Mohammad Shahed and its managing director Masud Parvez on a 10-day remand each in a case filed over issuing fake COVID-19 test results.
Meanwhile, the court also granted seven-day remand for Shahed aide Tariqul Islam in the same case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Jashim passed the order as investigation officer sought 10 days’ remand for the duo and seven-day for Tariqul.
Earlier this morning, Shahed, accused in 56 cases, was produced before the court amid tight security measures.
He was arrested from Satkhira border early morning on Wednesday.
Masud Parvez was arrested on July 14 from Gazipur. ❑
