New Delhi [India], Dec 17 (ANI): The winter months are here and it’s time to start taking care of your skin.

To keep your skin soft and supple, all you need is a good skincare regime.

Beauty experts Shiv Singh Mann, (Desert Splendour), Ragini Mehra (Beauty Source), and Swati Kapoor, (SoulTree) list a few products that ought to be a part of your winter regime.

-Face Oils- Oils protect the outer layer of the skin and provide rich antioxidants to prevent against DNA damage. Oils with wild sea buckthorn berry, rosehip seed, and rosa damascene contain elusive skin perfecting powers. It absorbs immediately to leave skin soft and velvety to the touch.

-Face Masks – Winters can get harsh with dry winds leading to stretched and dry skin. The perfect answer to your dry skin problems is a hydration mask, preferable one with a unique blend of amino acids and potent antioxidants, like Japanese Green tea and Aloe Vera, to reduce fine lines, increase collagen production, and fight environmental irritants.

-Eye Creams – Eyes are called the mirror of the soul for a reason. You definitely don’t want dark circles and puffy eyes. Try applying eye creams with pomegranate and almond oil to minimise the puffiness and brighten your under-eye skin. And make sure you get enough sleep.

-Face Cleansers – Regular skin cleansing is critical to maintaining healthy skin. A clean and dirt-free face helps keep pores open and aids the skin to breathe better. Restore the skin’s natural balance by using cleansers with almond oil, grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, honey – these leave the skin clean and nourished.

-Exfoliators -It’s essential to exfoliate your skin during winters to prevent a pile-up of dead skin cells. Choose a fine-grained scrub rich in lemon and neem that will help remove dead skin cells and leave your skin soft and smooth.

-Hand & Foot Cream – Apply a cream specially made for hands and feet before going to sleep at night to restore and repair your skin. Creams with oil base work really well and soothe dry, cracked skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth.

-Lip Balms – An effective lip balm needs to keep moisture in and protect lips from any drying environmental conditions. An oil based lip balm restores the film on dry lips. Try a balm that has a nourishing blend of organic ingredients to heal, condition and keep your lips soft and supple.

-Moisturise – Moisturising is an essential step in your winter skincare regime. Most moisturisers are petroleum based which further make the skin dry and itchy. Choose a moisturiser that is oil based, natural and has nourishing ingredients that will help keep skin the soft, supple and smooth.

-Protect – Sun Protection Cream – Winter sun can be just as harmful as the summer sun. Pick a sunscreen that is free of complex chemical UV filters, and contains natural ingredients such as aloe and almond oil that will soothe, hydrate and protect the skin. (ANI)
