JKG Health Care chairman, also suspended Cardiac surgeon of National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), Dr Sabrina Arif Chowdhury is blaming her husband for coronavirus sample collection and fake report delivery scam.
Dr Sabrina said in interrogation that her husband Arif Chowdhury is chief executive official of JKG Health Care. All these misdeeds have been done under his direction.
Hasnat Khandoker, Officr-in-Charge (Operation) of Tejgaon Police Station told this to risingbd on Tuesday.
He said, ‘Dr Sabrina is claiming herself innocent. If there was any cheating, it was done by her husband Arif Chowdhury. Because, he was supervising the institute. However, Dr Sabrina is chairman of it. So, she herself cannot avoid its responsibility. Besides, we have documents on how the income and expenditure of the organisation has been calculated.
Dr Sabrina is being interrogated at office of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). The case was handed over to DB on Tuesday morning for further investigation.
Dr Sabrina was shown arrested after she was called up to Tejgaon Police Station over coronavirus sample collection and fake report delivery scandal on July 12.
On July 13, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate placed her on a 3-day remand after she was produced before the court.❑
