Hindustan Surkhiyan Desk: Amid the third phase of voting for the 17th Lok Sabha elections which began on Tuesday morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi cast his vote in a polling station in Ahmedabad. After casting his vote, PM he took a stroll to his vehicle while flashing his inked finger to the fellow voters and crowd in general.
PM Modi stood up inside his open jeep after casting his vote and once again appealed to the voters to come out in large numbers and exercise the voting franchise. He also said that the voters of India are intelligent enough to know who to choose.
Making an appeal to voters to cast their votes, PM Modi said, “Like terrorism’s power is IED, people’s power is voting.”
A huge crowd gathered at the polling station while PM Modi came in an open jeep to the polling station. Modi picked up Amit Shah’s granddaughter to play with her as the gathering of supporters cheered seeing Modi and Amit Shah.
The Bharatiya Janata Party’s president and its candidate from Gandhinagar parliamentary constituency Amit Shah was also present in the polling booth. Shah is up against the Congress’ three-term legislator CJ Chavda in Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat.
The polling for third phase for seven phase Lok Sabha elections began on Tuesday morning. Polling is being held in the 117 seats, spread across 13 states and two Union Territories.
Voting will be held at all seats in Gujarat (26), Kerala (20), Goa (2), Dadra and Nagar Haveli (1) and Daman and Diu (1).
Besides, polling will also be held in four seats in Assam, five in Bihar, seven in Chhattisgarh, one in Jammu and Kashmir, 14 in Karnataka, 14 in Maharashtra, six in Odisha, 10 in Uttar Pradesh, and five in West Bengal.
